The firm's practice base is that of the general "family firm" practising in all areas of Conveyancing (including Businesses, Houses, Units and  Vacant  Land as well as  Retail and Commercial buildings) Accident Claims,  Estates, Wills, Succession and Estate Planning for both businesses and individuals , Family Law and other general areas of practice

Historically the firm is the union of two firms, the first being established in Sandgate by Mr Colin Moles in the early 1930's and the second,  founded in 1948 by Mr Bert Warren.

greg lane

Greg is the Principal of the Firm, practising in the areas  Wills, Estates, Residential and Commercial Property Law, Personal Succession Planning and Sports Law.

He holds a Bachelor of  Arts Degree from the University of Queensland and gained his legal qualifications through the Barrister’s Admission Board examinations whilst employed by the Public Trustee and the Crown Law Office, being admitted to practice as a Barrister at Law in December 1980.

Greg commenced practised as a Solicitor in Sandgate since April 1981, initially employed by Graham Gill and since April 1983 in partnership with Graham Gill  and later as a sole practitioner under the firm’s current name of Gill & Lane

Greg is a Queensland Law Society Approved Mediator, a member of the Australian New Zealand Sports Law Association, the Law Council of Australia, the Australian Institute of Management and also serves as a member of the Medical  Research Ethics Committee of Masonic Care Queensland

narelle stanton

Narelle is a Consultant to the firm, practicing in the areas of Property and Commercial Property Law, Wills, Estates, Personal and Business Succession Planning

Narelle holds a Degrees in Law from Queensland University of Technology and Commerce from Griffith University and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2000.

Since her admission as a Legal Practitioner, Narelle has practiced both as  a Senior Associate and a Partner in Specialist Property firms, in fact her entire career has been in the law

Prior to her admission to practice, Narelle completed both her degrees on a part time basis, initially working as a paralegal secretary both prior to and during her part time studies and ultimately undertaking five (5) years of  Articles of Clerkship with Gill & Lane, to complete her requirements for admission as a Legal Practitioner.

sarah cleeland

Sarah is a Senior Family Lawyer, and an Associate with our firm, offering our clients particular and pragmatic advice in all areas of Family Law.

Sarah graduated with an Honours degree in Law in 1996 and has practised exclusively in Family Law since that time in both City and suburban specialist Family Law firms.

Sarah also holds a degree in Commerce, a Diploma in Counselling, is a Queensland Law Society Approved Mediator, a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. She successfully completed the Children's Representative training course in 2003 and is an Accredited Children's Representative (Independent Children's Lawyer).

Sarah has undertaken volunteer work at Caxton Legal Centre and the Women's Legal Service and has participated in the Queensland Law Society Schools Education Program.

In addition to her experience in Family law , Sarah has extensive experience in litigation, advocacy and mediation, as well as a background in personal injury and criminal injury compensation litigation.

Sarah is committed to a resolution based approach to Family Law in a practical way that is cost and time effective for clients

The Firm is also a member of Lawfund, an organisation formed in 1995 to help member Solicitors, Accountants and Financial Planners arrange finance for their clients.  Lawfund is a member of the Mortgage Industry Association of  Australia with over 1300 members throughout Australia, with access to over 30 different Lending Institutions to assist you with Housing, Commercial and Business Finance at all levels
